Enhancing the Patient Experience Part 2: What Patients Think

In the first part of our blog series on how we are enhancing the treatment experience for patients, our skilled ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon, Dr. Helga Pizio, discussed New Eyes’ move to a new facility, our consolidation with Eye Care Associates of Nevada, and how we are working to provide superior patient care. In part two, Dr. Pizio talks about the reception of these changes among patients.

Have you heard anything specific from patients regarding the new offices and other changes at New Eyes? What kind of feedback have you received?

Patients compliment us every day on how clean and comfortable our offices are and how much they appreciate our attention to detail. Our staff gets lots of compliments too as they are very knowledgeable and provide outstanding customer service. We have assembled a great group of employees that work awesome as a team. As the owner of the practice one of the best feelings comes from the praise about our New Eyes staff. We have all worked hard and have come a long way.

You also provide high quality education videos for patients. How is this beneficial to patients? Why do you feel this is important?

I have been performing cataract surgery for 20 years. I have found that one of the most critical parts of providing excellent care is to educate our patients. Videos on our IPADs and on our website make the best visual tools to aid our patient in understanding their condition, the surgical details, and what advanced vision correction options are available to them. We have researched, produced, filmed, and edited videos that we feel reflect our focus on knowledge and technology to share with our patients.
