Dr. Jeffrey K. Austin is one of the most respected and experienced optometrists in Southern Nevada. A proud Las Vegas native, he joined the team at New Eyes in the fall of 2008 and has cared for Southern Nevada patients ever since. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, the Optometric Glaucoma Society, and the Optometric Retina Society, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, retinal disease, and dry eye.
Dr. Austin is an honors graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry, where he currently serves on faculty. He is also the administrator of the Optometry Student Internship Program at New Eyes, training the next generation of eye care providers in a busy clinical setting.
A leader in his profession at both the state and national level, Dr. Austin was appointed by the governor of Nevada and currently serves as a member of the Nevada State Board of Optometry. He has served as President and Education Chairman of the Nevada Optometric Association and is currently President of the national Optometric Retina Society.
